3D requests?
Hi, I am listed on here and specialize in scale model detail items mainly N scale 1/160 vehicles and details but do items from Z scale 1/220 through larger scales, limited small items for doll houses. I have too many items to list all separately and I am seeking requests from others for what type items they seek at reasonable cost for my time and material making them. depending on item price ranges start at $3 and up with many averaging $10 to $30 each and most can be ready in a day. I have a few items made already but dont want to waste materials on inventory not selling ATM.

jrj - How big is your platform? Need 12" and now I find out it's not everybody who has one.

I'm trying to get a model made for me, a futuristic dollhouse, in 1:24 scale, to use figurines and dollhouse furniture.

Design files, available, STP and DFX and so forth.

n2ri - my site says 3D printer is a Solidoodle 2 with 6x6 platform. my other forms of making things are much smaller depending on which form. hence doll house items are limited to detail items

n2ri - also large 3D prints that big take days to print which can easily cost in the hundreds of dollars even if the 1st try turns out good. thats why I never bothered getting larger printer. 3D printing has not come that far yet to be cost effective in mass production or large objects at fair prices.

elpulpo - Hi Judy. There are larger printers but not many at 12". I'm sure there'll be a few printers on MakeXYZ who can help you out. Suggest you search for someone with a CubePro, Cobblebot or one of the larger delta style printers in the searchable printer listings. Failing that, contact Nathan and I'm sure he'll find a printer who can help you out. Cheers! Andy

n2ri - thanks Andy, but I dont need your posts telling prospects to look else where on my topic which is trying to promote my services.

n2ri - why is jrj not hyper linked like other users? and who is Judy? since nothing says that name.

elpulpo - @n2ri. Seemed to me you'd already talked yourself out of a job so I was simply trying to help Judy find someone to satisfy her requirement. Also, I'm pretty sure that this forum was intended to allow people to swap useful information and not promote their services. There are other promotional opportunities for printers elsewhere on MakeXYZ. If we all started posting threads boasting about what we do, the forum would be useless. Both for printers and for prospective clients.
Judy is @jrj. She signed her first message. Not a bad idea, Mitch. It helps to know who you're taling to.

@jrj isn't hyperlinked because Judy doesn't have a profile on MakeXYZ. "jrj" is simply a user name that she will have chosen in order to post on the forum.

Cheers,

Andy

jrj - Well, I'm not a maker myself, I'm a customer. So I didn't think I should have a profile, is all. Should I? I've been asking a lot of questions because my project has run into snags.

Having a lot of trouble making my space habitat dollhouse for display at SF cons and school visits. It's 1:24 scale, and when I started on the project I didn't know that would make it too large to deal with easily in 3D printing (already paid for some interior stuff that size), or that it would be so difficult to get the edge angles. Live and learn. Working with one of you for a workaround; not certain yet if it will suffice.

If it does, will be looking for off-the-shelf furniture and "dolls" at 1:24 scale, Probably won't need custom-made, but will keep n2ri in mind.

elpulpo - No Judy. You don't need a profile, and don't worry about the questions. That's why we're here.

There's no such thing as too large to deal with. You only need to take a look at Vinnie's huge model to see that printer build volume needn't be a limitation...

Hope you manage to get what you need and hope you'll post a link to your space dolls house when it's built.

Cheers,

Andy

n2ri - your missing the point Andy. you could have PMd Judy that info instead of bashing my services on my own post. NOT a public info post on 3D printing in general. this is why this forum needs edit and delete options like most other such forums have. maybe Judy could find more info on say Soliforum.com forum.
oh BTW
N2RI is my user ID I chose for this site so thanks again for butting in on my topic and stomping on my privacy in the name of your own interests

n2ri - and yes large objects are 'possible' just not practical for resale. 1 man even printed over 3,000 pieces on a printer like mine to make a body shell of an full size Austin martin simply to use it as a mold for fiberglass body. it took over 2,500 hours of print time and like 3 hundred full rolls of filament and most of a year at his own cost of materials in the thousands of dollars saving him like 4 thousand dollars from a foam version kit that cost $12,000. he did it for himself so his time not figured in. thats what I meant by large objects not being worth the cost to make yet as 3D printing is way slow and not cheap. just makes unique objects possible yet not viable for retail sale. but by all means use my topic to promote your Delta printer. and waste my time.

elpulpo - Yeah right. OK. So this is YOUR topic. I beg your very pardon for butting in on your little bit of the internet Mitch. Please accept my most profound apologies. i wouldn't dream of intruding on your domain again so please feel free to bitch, moan, mislead, prevaricate, opine and make whatever weird noises it pleases your little heart to make. I for one won't be bothering to take any notice at all. I'm afraid that, if you want a pi55ing contest, you'll have to look elsewhere.

n2ri - yeah, I started the Topic/OP and it had no mention of seeking plugs for others. the other options for marketing services you spoke of on this site cost money (Im on fixed income disability so that leaves me out. you on the other hand could and not cut in on others. has anyone done this to your Topics you started? this BS is not what I spent time posting here for and now its just an un revokable mess of heckling. thank you very much!

myxopodan - As I am welcoming my companion on Christmas and organizing a gathering for them. Be that as it may, I was truly confounded about the menu. But I found the site https://www.easy-essay.org/research-paper-writing-service/ which is quite beneficial for my work. Exceptionally appreciative to this blog for expressing such good thoughts of the informal breakfast with us so I can serve them with the best. I have picked the best dishes for them now with the assistance of this blog.
