We need additional ways to change fees besides just build volumes. Cost per material, setup fees and cost per /hr for maintenance & monitoring prints.
Also some of us have dual materials and support structures, these are not factored into cost/volume for just the models.

I dont use the volume method, however I am forced too and this could hurt my chances of getting jobs.
Each job requires a good deal of discussion and planning from my perspective.
I emailed Nathan a week ago when i got my first job:
Me:
If i want to charge for weight plus print hour, how to I know this until after I have printed the object? you only let prices be set per cm3... what if they print a hollow object? what if they print a high rez object? opportunity cost of my printer use is much higher to me than cost of plastic. I just sent an invoice for $1.... not trying to rip you off, I just am new to printing and do not know how to fairly price.

Hey Carter,
Regarding pricing, as customers will be requesting quotes, you will be able to walk them through your pricing. if the part is hollow, you can explain that, if the request is high rez you can charge for and explain that too...
Let me know how else I can help you get set up,
Nathan
