Another newbie question
I find that ninjaflex is doing this more than other plastics. I am just curious on how you guys are solving this problem if you have encountered it

Imagine printing a object that is a wall. It is thin....about 1/16" to 1/8" think wall.

It goes up high.

I have a issue with that the ends of the walls are curling (Not a the build plate). They start to whip up higher and higher....Then eventually the extruder head is able to push pas the curl and lay down a corner that has nothing under it. then starts the process again.

What should I do to fight this.....Heat reduction....??

n23d - Can you post a picture?
Sounds like the ends are cooling quicker than the center. When the center cools last it
pulls the ends together making them curl up. The center needs to cool faster or the ends slower. Some structural changes could help. Thicken ends to make them stronger and cool slower. Thin up middle or add S curves so it cools faster and can pull less.
Some other things to try:
Slow down extruding speed. (give material chance to cool more between layers)
Change extrusion temp. (cooler or hotter not always obvious which will work best)
Turn on cooling fan. (pull heat out of middle so it is cool before ends extruded)
Increase minimum time between layers. (Allows for more cooling of hot center section)
Add support structure. (hold down the ends with additional structure trim off after print)
Change nozzle diameter.(not physically just in slicer setup make it larger than actual may reduce difference between end and middle temp if fewer passes needed to form layer get it all down hot)
Add blanket to build area (Increase overall temp of build area to reduce differential cooling )

vinnie90 - I this isnt a wall type print, but this is what I have on hand.

I possibly have a possible job to do a wall type print that needs to be printed upwards.....tyring to figure out if I should do it or not.
I might try the blanket idea.....I really dont want to slow down the speed....already super slow ya know
