Hi,

I have had a look but cannot find this information clearly (a lot of different comments).

I am considering applying to a different school starting in September 2022. Since I have to give my headteacher as one reference, and was planning on giving my line manager as my other, do I need to tell them that I am applying elsewhere?

If I do tell them I would like to leave, and do not get the job, can I stay at my current school?

I am also considering applying to a few other schools as a back up. Would I be able to request time off if I needed to attend a few (4) interviews?

Is there anyway of doing this that won’t make my life awkward if I don’t get a new job?
