I understand the utility of being able to sell each other parts for our printers..... but Having the items in the mix with the "3D printed stuff for sale" seems like we're not thinking of the potential customers of the standard printed cool stuff.

- to be clear, I'm more referring to the image feeds like in the community.... unless that is unique to the community page... which customers may not venture to.... I guess it was the picture of just four binder clips that set this thought into motion.

- About half of all the images I see for store items are filament for sale. I want to mine and other people's items that they physically make for sale. Items that are clearly resell items do not have a place on makexyz. Leave that to other websites that supports the makers.
Wherever people of a certain persuasion gather, there'll be one of them who'd like to sell something to another community member. And why not? Makes sense to me. No sense making up rules for no reason.
A 3D Small Ads section would suffice for the time being.

- a category for a product that has NO printed parts but has 3D printing applications should be made... and items in that category should be kept out of promotional image feeds. Back of the store... metaphorically speaking. This section should also be constantly scrutinized by the community. IMHO.

- I agree with the back of the store idea. Give people the maker support category and keep them out of the promoted areas. The promoted areas are for trying to sell our physically printed, formed, CNC'd, etc...., items.

- Yes! I've been wanting to list some 3D printing items from my store (filament, controllers, etc) but haven't to avoid having them cover up other people's printed and made items.
Maybe it's just as simple as configuring it so that the 3D printing accessory / material items only show up in the feed of makers?
I also wonder about items like kits of 3D Printed parts for others to make their own printers. I do think that those should be allowed to show up in the community feeds.

@printedsolid: Printed and CNC'd kits and the like are the gray area getting promoted. Items like binder clips, filament, screw, and the like, shouldn't be promoted. Printed items for jewelry, games, desktop accessories, and the like should be the type of items that are promoted.

- Alright, lets get this thing back on topic. Those are just my opinions about selling printer replacement parts vs printer made items. I just my printer up and running and I would like to start selling here also. But's not that inviting when my designed items are going up against spools of filament and binder clips. It looks like a flea market when you have that kinda of diversity being promoted.

Is the issue that these products are promoted here in the forums?
In that the forums is comprised mostly of printer-havers, is showing these products not actually kinda relevant?

- If that image feed is only used in these forums, then yes... I was unsure if that was the case. However, could that image feed be provided to us as a widget? Possibly with the option to focus the widget image feed on a category or personal store?
