I've seen and used timer switches many times that you turn to turn on a heat lamp or a hot tub / hot tub. Is there any way to make one of them work backwards? I have a skimmer in our aquarium and I want to use it to turn off the power to the canister while the fish is eating. Turn on the timer and leave. Right now, I'm disconnecting the canister. Thank you in advance.

- Oh, I also ran into this problem once. I also did not want to add an extra device to the general electrical network. Then I called one of my friends, he works in https://gordonpowers.com.au/level-2-electrician-sydney/. He told me how to solve my problem properly. He advised me relays that create a delay when the signal breaks, as for me this is quite a convenient thing. But still, I would advise you to talk to a qualified electrician. After all, electricity is not a toy. Who knows what will go wrong if you do something wrong. You can suffer yourself or your fish will die. I don't think you can handle something mechanical in your situation. Good luck, I hope you can handle it
