EVE Online Minmitar Destroyer .stl is small!
I'm looking to get a 'Thrasher' printed, which is just a EVE ship that I think looks cool, but the problem is, my .stl is tiny, and I have no clue who made it or how to change it, I'd like to have it atleast 6" long and the width at the the same margin as the length. Can anyone help with this? Maybe edit my .stl file somehow ? http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:151995/#files -> thrasher.stl Also since it's a model what should it be printed out of (material wise). Thanks!

jonhart - the width at the same marginally increase as the length, so I'd like to have the same proportions if it is 6" long *

jonhart - As I'm looking more and more 6" seems way too large. I'm just looking for a model on my desk, I just want to be able to see the details. Any ideas ?

tanju-b - Scaling up is usually more forgiving than scaling down. Scaling could be done with just about any CAD program, or even the slicer. However I just checked the model in meshmixer and it has a ton of errors.... there's weird copywrite warnings on the thing's about page. Also I don't think my FFM printer would be able to print this in a single piece... would need to much support. I would recommend SLS or SLA printing which will cost more

jonhart - I see this design and several others of EVE ships on here, if you look up eve online you can see them. I'm surprised why copywrite would be a problem

bmmal - It more or less would be a manner of scaling the stl. However, if the scale factor is too great then the model may start to appear to have a low resolution. If you would like a quote I can scale the file and provide a screen shot of it as well.

rapidtechnician - Please contact me as I can use magics to scale the part and keep the resolution sharp. I can also quote and build your part in ultra high resolution in 8 micron layers....

geekdad63 - It is quite easy to scale stl files up (or down) in 123d design http://apps.123dapp.com/design/ and save them out as new stls. Even can cut it in half for easier printing.
