This technology is priceless when it comes to perfecting a design before a major manufacturing commitment. For example if you were contemplating injection molding a part as it is the best way to lower costs when done in high quantity but the tooling is very expensive especially when you have to change it. 3D printing solves that by allowing you to quickly and cheaply perfect the design before IM tooling. It has dramatically improved our products.

- Most definitely! Some of our clients have even used our printed parts in production with low volume runs up to 1000 units. Doesn't make sense to pay thousands for a tool when you only need a few hundred parts that cost $1 or less when printed in quantity. We can also obviously supply it much faster than having to wait for traditional manufacturing.
On a more anecdotal level, my Uncle payed $10,000 for four prototypes 10 years ago that I could have printed today for under $100. Makes me excited every time I think about the implications of that story as this technology is becoming available to (just about) everyone.
