How to adapt 3d design base on min Layer Height.
I was curious about the way that you guys change any existent 3d mesh for a particular Min Layer Height? I am fully aware that sometimes is possible to make the appropriate changes to the mesh without compromising the actual end product. Lets say that I would like to print certain mesh on a machine with Min Layer Height of 200 microns, what do parameter(s) do you have to adjust in your mesh to make it printable?

Just for the record I use Blender for all my 3d designs + Meshlab.

cheers

vinnie90 - I dont think I understand the question really....From my understanding you are worried about your mesh "layout" of points and edges when printing .2 mm layer height?

If that is the question then you just set your slicer to .2mm layer height.

elpulpo - Yeah. The slicer does all the heavy lifting. If a horizontal layer intersection lies between two vertices, which it most likely will do, the slicer interpolates along the edge between them. So, let's say one vertice is 1mm up and away from another, the slicer would produce around 5 slices between the two, one 200uM up and 200uM in, the next another 200uM up and 400uM in. Clever stuff, eh? :-)

elpulpo - Oh! Meant to say 400uM in, and so on...

somighten - When I started renovating, I was looking for a reliable home decor service for a long time. I was lucky and I started custom made signs https://crawoo.com/collections/wall-signs as well as many other things. In my house there are a lot of interior elements from this site.

dihov81089 - You have to find a balance between speed or low layer height of 3D printing, resulting in that your first layer could easily fail, without taking into account time and time again, the better the quality of printing and repeatability of business. I say you can check https://masterbundles.com/sell-font-become-typographer-career-guide/ and get some new things related to the fonts. That's what Masterbundles' Photoshop bundle offers you. You'll get great print results with high resolution models. Open your mind, learn a bit about the choices concerning 3d design, layer height and such.
