My Dentist
So I'm not sure if there's already a topic about this. I am approaching my 2-year milestone after the diagnosis. A few weeks ago, I finally made an appointment with the dentist (finally felt good enough to do it) I was very nervous about cleaning up. It was a good thing I brought my own stuff, because they didn't seem to realize how sensitive I was to trace amounts of gluten. In the end, the dentist told me that I needed fillings. What did not surprise me, I have had cavities since childhood. My question is, what do I need to look for with the materials they are going to use for my fillings? I sent my dentist an article stating that most of the products he would use could contain gluten. He practically waved me off. Is this something I really need to worry about?? I don't want to get fillings if the material contains gluten and will be in my mouth. I'm the only one I know who has celiac disease, so I don't have anyone else to ask what they were supposed to do when they went to the dentist. I would appreciate any help! My anxiety right now is just crazy when I think about it.

harrydavidson701l3 - To be honest, this problem worries me the most at the moment. That's why I'm waiting for an answer as soon as possible.

kassadi - Hi all, I read the subject of your post carefully and I can tell you that this problem is quite popular among people who go to dental appointments. And especially among those who are just about to get fillings, for example. To solve this problem you should at least find out if you have any allergic reactions to the material that is present in the fillings, as well as to the contents of anesthetic injections. Don't worry about the fact that your dentist doesn't care. Just change it, because it is better to overpay for health than underpay.
