PLA casting - jewerly question
Anyone have success with their manufacturers casting in PLA, for jewelry applications? ABS did not have a good burnout rate with complex forms and thinnish walls. I am considering purchasing a Makerbot Replicator 2 that uses PLA. Thank you for your input!

printedsolid - PLA does burn out quite a bit better than ABS. If you have a printer that can't print in PLA, then you might want to order something similar to one of your parts from someone who has the same machine first before you buy it. Also, if you're doing a lot of jewelry with fine detail, you may want to consider a resin printer. I think a lot of people are using the B9 for jewelry casting.
