Printer kept my part and never returned it

I used a specific printer twice before with no issues. Then I wanted him to custom male a part for me; he said he could design it and then print it for me so I sent him my part that needed to be customized.
Then he simply stopped responding to me. I have messaged him and received no response. Now I don't have the custom designed to printed part, plus I am out my original part that I mailed to him.
What can I do?

I've done work with you before. I just want to make sure you are not talking about me.
Dan, not at all. I have nothing but good things about the work you've done for me. It was from a project back in April that the maker left me hanging on. I've worked with support and they have been in touch with the maker.
and if you're reading this in the future (what's the future like? do they have in-home 3D printed pizza yet?) and having a similar problem, you can always email me, nathan@makexyz.com, and i'll fix it for you.
