You can buy another part for your car under insurance by simply paying your money on top of your insurance, so you can safely do it and you won't have any problems. I did this when I bought home insurance and a year later my roof broke, but I bought materials a little more expensive than the insurance covers and successfully repaired my roof. You can also read the contract that you signed with the insurance company, maybe you can find the answer to your question there and it will be more accurate than my answer to you.
