Reattaching the y axis belts - makerbot replicator 2
Ok so I really screwed up.

Pushing too hard on my hot end, the bars on the right side of my makerbot replicator 2 popped out, which loosed the bars on the right side of the makerbot (when you're looking at it, so printer left). Then the belt popped off and this smaller belt popped out and came out of nowhere.

Now I can't find any tutorials on how to get these belts reattached. Not to mention the bearing and gears piece in the back right.

Any ideas? Desperation setting in....

vinnie90 - Do you know how to place everything back in? Do you need pictures or anything like that? If so I can send you pictures of mine to help you out.

I did a repair like that in the past...I think.

All I remember is that it is really tight snap to put the bars back in.

paeonius - also please post some pictures and we can help you trouble shoot it

i would start by removing all the mdf so you have all the bolts exposed and easier access
have you replaced your x-axis cable? now might be a good time to do it

augustaht - Great, thank you both.

@paeonius, removing the MDF was a great suggestion. I was trying to do everything with it still closed up. Dumb. Once I started removing bolts, getting the bars snapped in became a lot easier.

And it became clear that the smaller belt was the built going from the motor that drives the y axis, to the connector at the back-right corner of the makerbot.

Got everything connected now!

Side question: are the mdf boards functional? or just for a sweet look?

vinnie90 - for the replicator 2 it is just really a look. the openings are kinda big to really not do anything with temperature.

Just keep in mind that even though you print in pla or another material on the machines it sometimes help to box it in with cardboard or something like that. It helps to keep the temp inside constant.

I learned that with ninjaflex.

loys1980 - I think he did well by setting up it. And if i am facing this issue then i also try this method to resolve this issue. Here you need to https://assignmentjunkie.co.uk/do-my-dissertation-for-me/ for the all level of students to complete their thesis work. If it is still there then you should contact the professional person of this field.
