Simpler & Safer 3D Printing - Thoughts?
Hey fellow printers, we got frustrated with the amount of failed prints we were getting last year so we did tons of research and are now developing a new product that we believe will make desktop 3D printing much simpler and safer.

Introducing ABE - The World's first open source Adaptive Build Environment:

http://sd3dprinting.com/abe-adaptive-build-environment/

Throughout our preliminary tests our prototype ABE has decreased total rework by nearly 80% and allows us to print indoors without inhaling UFP's all day.

We are looking for some pre-Kickstarter feedback from the community. What do you guys think? Would you be willing to back our project, and if so how much is ABE worth to you?

We plan to launch ABE in the next 60 days after finalizing our production model testing. Thanks for the feedback everyone!

nyl0cke - What printers does it work with? It looks like you have a few prusas or some other RepRap that you use?

sd3dprinting - We don't like the idea of being tethered to a single printer platform so we designed ABE to be as universal as possible. It will work with any printer that has overall dimensions up to 24"x24"x24".

nyl0cke - If my plan for my HBC doesn't work out for my Ultimaker, I may give one of these a try.

sd3dprinting - We started assembly of the first production ABE yesterday and should have some sweet pictures and videos to show over the next week. We have also decided to make a smaller 18"x18"x18" model available for the Kickstarter and a bare-bones cover that just filters the harmful UFP's to allow for safe indoor printing. There will be hardware only options for each of these kits as well since most (if not all) people will want to print their own plastic parts.

We have also been making some great deals with our suppliers to bring the costs of these systems down :)
