1. You need to close company files, then QuickBooks Desktop in order to download and use QuickBooks Tool Hub.
2. After downloading the latest version of QuickBooks Tool Hub, install it and then open the tool hub.
3. From there, select Network Issues and click QuickBooks Database Server Manager.
4. Look for the company file in server manager and click Start Scan. If your company file is not there, browse to the location and then click Start Scan.
5. Let the server manager run to repair firewall permissions, then select Close.
6. Finally, open QuickBooks and switch it to the multi-user mode.
