Feels like there's tumbleweeds blowing around in here. What's going on, guys??

- same... had a meetup last night with other makexyz members. We were considering asking Nathan to institute a "SHIPS FROM" address on profiles so customers can make an educated decision on who their local printer is. There are folks here with profiles in many regions... and we disagree with the validity of that practice.

- I agree, @necf, although I haven't seen any such profiles. Sometimes, the list seems to be ordered wrongly. People from NY coming up as closer than others in the UK, etc. You sure it's not just a glitch in the location filters?

- I agree and I noticed that when a printer is added different address can be used. This has the effect of the same user possibly showing up in multiple cities. I feel like it's not totally legit if you're doing that unless you physically have a presence there say as a chain of business or a dual partner. It's still weird that the option exists and probably not necessary. Advertising in different locations is a different story though as long as it's obvious you're not physically located in that city.

- I don't have a problem with people advertising in different cities, but it should be clear to the customer that if they choose one of those printers, they are choosing someone out of town vs a local business. I personally like using local businesses when I can. Keep your neighbors employed! So @necf's idea is good or maybe some kind of ranking that keeps them lower than the locals.
Plus, for me, the whole point of 3d printing is "local manufacturing"!

- Business is good...I bought a second printer 5 weeks ago and have 320 hrs logged on it as of today. That machine was purchased for one clients long term contract. Whoever says that you can't grow your business and make money is wrong.. :)

- Just growing the business now via referrals....
We have a couple of clients that we have taken products from the idea stage through the manufacturing process overseas. Its been an education to say the least; for us and the clients.. :)
So long as we continue to deliver what we promise with regards to quality, expectations and our own limitations we should be fine.

- re: listing your services in multiple cities; we agree.
in the past we have addressed this manually -- removing those printers that we noticed were replicants.
but today, we pushed a change to fix this permanently. double-listing is no longer possible

And XYY printers seems to have come out of no where with 32 reviews on the same dates in each city I find them in. What High Resolution printers are they using also?
