I really like the first fan mount I made for my Simple for a while. But it was dark, and I wanted some light. Also, I didn't like having the fan on the front because I like to watch while it's printing, and the fan got in the way. So I came up with this new design. It moves the 40mm fan to the side, and adds supports for a 60mm ring LED light that I found on Amazon priced at $10 for two. The first picture is in a completely dark room with the only light coming from the ring LED. Note: This is for the Printrbot Simple Beta. I will most likely redesign this part once I have the final parts. You'll need to order a 60mm LED ring light. Here is a link to the one I used: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00899AI92/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Once you have the ring LED, unclip the two electrical connections to the hot end. Then slip the ring LED over the hot end so that the wires are between the hot end and the print bed. You can now reconnect the hotend wires. Unscrew the two screws holding the extruder in place, and then use the same screws and nuts to mount the part you printed. Finally, add the fan using two M3-20 screws and two M3 nuts.
