EDIT 2016: Check out MementoMori's remix @ http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1732234Simple modification of this great EF mount. Thank you, AlexEnglish! I did not believe it at first, but it really does fit tightly. With this you can take photos through any telescope, as long as you reach focus (No problem with a 102/1300 Maksutov, could not get in far enough on a 76/300 newton-dobson though). These adapters usually cost €20 ($28) from a telescope shop, and this probably 5% or less, depending on material, support and setting. The Mak does have a T2 mount, but for using a barlow, this is a quick and inexpensive solution! :-)Needs fixing in the future: Spacer, so tightening the tube into the focuser is easier (now the focuser screws are pressing directly against the EF mount disc)(Sidenote for the DailyEarring project: It'll be back. Sorry for the hiatus. In the mean time, enjoy the printer live-cam at http://up.no-ip.org:8888 untill my site is back up :-) )UPDATE 2016: Check out http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1732234UPDATE NOTE 4.JULY 2012: 2- Future ideas: Ad a tube at the base of the 1.25" so the telescope does not rest against the camera mount, else tightening the telescope eyepiece screws is tedious. 1- For dailight use (450D on a Skylux 70/700 refractor) I painted the white part on the top disk and inside the small tube with a "Nail Polish Matte" (ebay ~ââ??¬3) but any other laquer should work. Without the contrast and sharpness suffers greatly.Attention! Achtung! When printing on an pp3dp UP, scale to [[[ 0.99 ]]], else it will not fit! My first print did not, and I was affraid it would damage my EF mount... Then I printed it successfully with 0.3mm layer and FAST setting (usualy I use fine/0.2mm), and oriented the 1.25" tube upwards... Needs fixing in the future: Spacer, so tightening the tube into the focuser is easier (now the focuser screws are pressing directly against the EF mount disc)Other Ideas: -turn around for more support material but smoother EF mount). -Use black ABS or paint black (nailpolish...) to avoid ambient light problemsOn a Cupcake you may want to print the thing in two parts and glue it together, but I don't really have a clue. Please share your experiance
