Simply put it is a holder for the HTC Desire and it goes on your belt!Comes in two parts, one is the holder for the phone. It is contoured for the phone but I have no 3D scanner so it was done by trial and error by eye. It is a close enough match for this job.There are two clips either side that hold the phone in place. These are somewhat tight and it takes a bit to get the phone in or out of it. However once in it will not fall out (almost certainly anyway!!).The second part is actually the belt clip from this thing http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:11666 I just copied the part I needed for this. The clip is embossed with HTC for a bit of branding.I printed this in two colours, Buttercream and Princely Purple.[UPDATE] Version 2 is now available. Changes are a reduced height of the top section so that it doesn't press on the ear while making a call (for the odd time a smartphone is used to actually make a call!). The side clips are reduced and chamferd on the top edge to make it easier to remove the phone and do not require support to print. From my Simple HTC Desk Stand I took the profile and added it to the top half of the holder to increase support for the phone. There are holes in the lower section in order to reduce the amount of material used. And the height and width have been slightly reduced (0.5mm & 1mm respectively) for a snug fit.Print out the two parts Use V2 of the holder, other version is left for historical purposes, the holder may need support on for the clips not for V2.The opening is a tight fit for the belt clip so it would need a little filing to fit snugly.Although a good fit, it may be best to glue the clip to the holder with some super glue.Pop the phone in. I put one side in then, with my palm, push the phone in.To remove, you will need to pull the clips back and push onto the camera lens cover. May need a little force but one side will start to come out, then turn over and remove the phone totally.Not needed anymore. Just push the phone in and then you can pull it out easily either by pulling behind the power button or pushing out with the lens gently.Have been thinking, would it be better to print in ABS? Would that allow for more flex then PLA allows?
