Have you ever wanted to create the world's first known steam engine? This is a stand I made for a school project of making an aeolipile. This stand is meant to work with this instructable: http://www.instructables.com/id/Ancient-Aeolipile--steam-engine%2c-and-magnets-for-g/?ALLSTEPS The arch is meant to slip into place with the other two pieces to create a taller and more stable base. The hole at the top of the arch is meant for some magnets I have lying around. If you want to edit it you can use the url below to make it fit your needs. This is designed to be printable in one job on the prusa i3 xl, but you may be able to fit it on some smaller printers, This thing was made with Tinkercad. Edit it online https://tinkercad.com/things/7KwkCNDIyR1 more info about the aeolipile: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AeolipileThis has not been tested quite yet so I am not sure how the steam will affect different plastics but if you try it please let me know how it works. I am guessing you are going to need a sizable brim for the arch though.
