(print with supports) 3.1 adjusted cross again, trimmed a bit off the parts that slide into the base 3.0 -adjusted cross positioning, sunk motor screw holes in a bit, style is more consistent Didn't like the wobble in the fan when there was a lot of shake on the z-axis and it also bothered me that the fan was attached to the one thing that I move the most on the extruder. (refering to this design, the only one i found for 60mm: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:231661 ) So I built this to ease up the stress on the fan blades and reduce wobble, It also helps reduce warping that I found occurs when you strap large fans onto the extruder without ducts. built specifically for use with Printrbot Jr. v2. However, it may work with Simple.... I presume (I haven't tested it). The original plate design came from a simple extruder drawing ( http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:248333http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:175718 ) and I made a few modifications (the position of the nut holder cross is increaed and moved, the alan screw holes were increased, but the basic shape is the same) Going to make something like this to go with it next ( http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:240397 ) so that the front is only a filiment latch and not a shaky fan mount. Also included: my Version 1, which was accidentally dimensioned for a printrbot simple. note that its a two piece design and the bottom of the design, when installed, may be really really close to the platform... maybe take a sander to it or something.
