This coral like form is the result of a simulation of dendritic solidification, a type of crystal growth occurring in supercooled solutions of certain metal alloys.You can see a video of the simulation running here: https://vimeo.com/226287893d-print it! we printed this on a Makerbot Replicator with multiple shells. We also printed it with one shell and it broke but still looked pretty interesting.
