This 'thing' supersedes version 1. V2 is superior to v1 because: Version 2 removes the cup-holder flanges. Instead, small slots are provided to facilitate joining to a non-printed cup-holder attachment. I felt it made sense to print the phone-holder part, but leave the cup-holder part to you. My personal cup-holder attachment consists of a 'puck' made out of disks of corrugated cardboard. The puck is laced to the 'thing' with string. The puck fits snugly into my non-circular cup-holder, and is much more secure than v1. Another method of attachment could be a cross-bar (e.g. chop-stick) under the cup-holder + zip-lock ties through the slots provided. You could also probably zip-lock this 'thing' directly to you cup-holder.
