here is my attempt at a printable filament spindle. I based the measurements off the MK1 spindle so it should fit the 5lb rolls sold by Makerbot and Ultimachine. Hopefully the amount of expansion that I have with PLA is common so that the models fit together. The Waxman Lazy Susan bearing(Model #: 4650699NN) is available at Lowe's for about $4.50 USI have found that 10% fill makes parts that are strong enough for the application. Print 3 of both the Bottom and Top Flange Large stl files, 2 of the Lockbracket and Axl files and one each of the Bottom and Top Flange Small files. Once the Large and Small Flanges of the bottom are snapped together with the lock brackets I cut the m3 bolt to fit the Lazy Susan bearing's height clearance. Placing them diagonally should give enough stability alleviating the need for more than two.
