I designed some brackets to turn a worn out skateboard deck into a shelf.
(Command strips did not work for me, had to install nail holes)Printed successfully with PLA at 200 micron layer thickness, 3 shells, and 50% infill. It maybe sufficient to print this with 2 shells and less infill, but I was on the side of caution. I wanted this thing to be strong. I printed two at a time on a MakerBot Replicator 2. There are two clearance holes that will align with the truck holes. The recommended screws for these are Flathead 8-32 x7/8" long, you will need 4.
I tried using command strips for this, but my wall was not flat enough so they would not stick properly. So I created some holes to attach the brackets with some sort of wall nail (depending on your type of wall).
