As a young boy in the early 60's, I was given this ceramic coin bank (shown on the right side of the group photo) by a sweet elderly couple. Since then, the bank has been floating around our family, often exchanged from one household to the next as a gag gift. In the last few years, we all began appreciating it again, now with everyone fighting about who gets to keep it. I replicated the design in Solidworks, then gave everyone a copy at a recent family birthday celebration. The keychains were especially a big hit. STL files, along with Solidworks and STEP design files are included. These were made on a MakerBot Replicator 2 with white PLA filament. The large model was printed with 2 shells, 10% infill, a 0.2mm layer height, and no supports or raft. The keychain model was printed with 2 shells, 15% infill, a 0.2mm layer height, and no supports or raft. There is a small hole in the top of the model suitable for a tiny eye-hook, purchased at my local hardware store. The eye-hook is screwed into the head along with a one inch piece of chain (found at a craft store) and a key ring.
