This adapter allowed me to hook up the smaller Intex pump when my newer larger pump (Model 635) died. This will connect the small hose from the 1000gph pump to the larger intake hose on the larger pools.This adapter does not have built in threads because the threads on the pump intake snap off and can be placed on to this part. In the photos the original threading is the grey piece. The o-ring from the pump intake can be removed and placed into the groove in the part.
