A comprehensive overhaul of lens holders and clips compatible with the Diveboard / OpenDive design. The original OpenDive lens design, while it allowed the flexibility to specifically manipulate the lens for each eye, was exceedingly difficult to precisely setup and to maintain lens position. frma71 made significant improvements to these parts by designing a single holder for both lenses, allowing the focal plane of both lenses to be parallel. I printed her/his lens holders (both the 60mm IPD and the 65mm IPD versions), but found that the bridge between the lenses pressed up against the bridge of my nose when set at optimal focal length. The lens holders on this page, which are a derivative of the holders by frma71, include a 45 degree arch across the bridge with allows the lenses to move closer to the eyes and avoid contact with the user's face when used at the optimal focal length. I modified both the 60mm and 65mm IPD versions, which together should be sufficient for the majority of users according to Wikipedia. Additionally, I have designed a full set of clips that are compatible with the lens holders that lock them in at the optimal focal length. Since the original OpenDive visor was designed to handle focal lengths from 30mm - 50mm, I have included 5 sets of these clips allowing for focal lengths of 30mm, 35mm, 40mm, 45mm, and 50mm. Each set of clips includes small embossed text with the focal length and an arrow to indicate the direction of mounting. Since the original OpenDive lenses are 25mm diameter and 45mm focal length, these are the lenses and clips included in the attached photos. Since frma71's holders were designed to be fully compatible with the original OpenDive visor (or any other derivative work which maintains the same lens channels, like my Diveboard v1 Design) the lens holders on this page maintain that same compatibility. The clips are fully compatible with the lens holders on this page as well as those designed by frma71. They are also be compatible with the original OpenDive visor, as well as any derivative works that maintain the same lens channel dimensions (again, like my Diveboard v1 Design). The 45 degree arch on the bridge was designed to avoid scaffolding. The clips require a bit more, but are easily removed. I printed both holders and clips on a Replicator 2 using PLA. The lens holders I printed on high (0.1 mm layer height) with 2 shells and 20% infill. The clips I printed on high (0.1 mm layer height) with 1 shell and 100% infill. One of the included photos shows how these parts easily integrate with my Diveboard v1 visor. I love the finished look that the clips provide on the outside of the visor. Functionally, this is a dramatic upgrade that turns the Diveboard / OpenDive into a much better experience. Lens adjustments are no longer required and the experience becomes one where you can simply drop this on someone's head and show it off.
