The original Thing was made for a laser cutter and since I don't have one I generated three things that can be printed without support and glued together. You are of course encouraged to cut out whatever letter you want from the center of the head board (I used a "V"). V2 now includes the engravings on the Head board, Foot board and Side boards as well as the OpenSCAD source files. Now it works with the Customizer since I combined all the OpenSCAD source files into one.I downloaded the SVG file and opened it in Inkscape. I selected each object and exported the path to an OpenSCAD source file (3mm thick) using the Inkscape to OpenSCAD plugin (available here on Thingiverse). I then used OpenSCAD to reassemble the bed from the five parts and exported this as an STL file. This I loaded into netfabb Basic and cut it along the z-axis such that the bottom portion was cut in half, 1.5 mm for the bottom, 1.5 mm for the top. The bottom part was rotated 180° on the y-axis and saved. The top part was cut at the x=0 plane and each part was rotated for easy printing without support and then saved as STL files. I then created a new FreeCAD project and loaded in the three STL files and positioned them as a single printing plate. I then used Inkscape to create an artistic letter V and again exported the path to an OpenSCAD script which was then compiled and saved as an STL file. The "V.stl" file was then also loaded into FreeCAD. The Head board object and the V object were then converted into solid objects, the V was positioned in the proper location and then subtracted from the Head board object. This was then saved as the STL file to slice and print. Here I have included the separate files. With V2 I have added all the source files plus my print plate with the "V" cutout of the headboard.
