This is a 3D scan of a bronze cube that I built last semester in a sculpture class using 3D printed gears. I scanned the finished cube with 123D Catch and printed it out on my university's Makerbot Replicator.I really just wanted to play with 123D Catch and challenge it with a more complex object. The scan is not perfect, of course, but it is much more detailed than I expected.I captured the object using 123D Catch, then used Meshmixer and netfabb Studio Basic to make it manifold and 3D printable.I've included the fully-textured cleaned OBJ mesh exported from 123D Catch, as well as the original 123D Catch project file (.3DP). Please remix!I printed a small copy of this object using a Makerbot Replicator in white ABS using 0.27mm layer height, 10% infill and 1 shell.
