I am building a Greenhouse out of old jam jars (actually I am using any glass containers - does not have to be jam). And I thought it would be cool if I could use some of the jars to collect rain to water the plants inside the Greenhouse. This is my first 3D printed prototype, I have tested the concept with a metal lid, it works fine but it has a deadly sharp edge and its ugly (see photo). The greenhouse is built out of glass jars with the open end facing inwards. The rain collector jars have the open end facing outwards with the 3D printed adapter attached and a rubber tube feeding the water back into my plants. This adapter is for a jar with a diameter of 10 cm. I will be making more sizes soon (write to me if you want a specific size and you can not wait). It will need a silicone sealing to make it water tight on the jar. I have added a "spacer" to help in stacking the jars. My apologies that this project appears twice - something went wrong with Thingiverse and I seem to have 2 identical projects.
