What we have here is a lunch box sized case for your Raspberry Pi project. I intended this to be a housing for a RaspBMC media center, but it would work equally well for almost any project. If you've worked with the Raspberry Pi then you've probably been frustrated with the lack of a power button and the tangle of wire from the various connectors on all sides of the board. I wanted a nice and neat box to house my project that would look clean and finished. Here is what I've come up with.This is an active work in progress - so any ideas, complaints, or questions are always welcome.This was designed for printing on an M2 from Makergear. There are only four pieces, but they all require a large print bed. I've included my Sketchup files for anyone who might need or want to customize the pieces. Also included is a list of all the parts that were used for the finished project. The main piece is the base, which is designed to hold a USB hard drive, powered USB hub, power connector, power switch, and panel mounted HDMI, USB, and LAN connections. The next piece is a divider plate onto which the Raspberry Pi is mounted. The divider plate also helps secure the USB hard drive, protects the power switch, routes cables, and provides a platform on which additional circuits/hardware can be mounted. The third piece is a securing plate, which holds the dividing plate down and fastens to the base. The securing plate in this design is closed although it could be modified to hold additional hardware such as monitors, speakers, LCD's, etc. The final piece is a simple top to finish off the box. I've left it plain so that it could easily be customized for buttons, storage, additional connectors, or just cool graphics. --UPDATE-- Version 2 - this is a mirrored variation of the Pi Box, which changes the orientation of the Raspberry Pi. This is primarily for those of you who do not need the RCA and audio connections on the exterior of the case. That's basically it - everything else is the same, just flipped. The hard drive and and USB hub should just need to be flipped as well. Just a word of caution - I haven't printed this box yet, but if any of you do I'd like to hear how it came out.
