An attempt at making the Lightning tank from Planetside 2 in 3dsmax. Sliced & repaired in netfabb basic, oriented in makerware. Please share pictures of a print if you make one.The file has been updated with no slices, just the whole model in one piece.Printer finally arrived, this is how I printed this item.I used rafts and supports, but you only need support. I used a leatherman to remove the supports, be very careful around the turret, use a pair of scissors to cut the supports beneath the barrel before you start to pull it away with the leatherman. You can try to re-orient it if you'd like.My image shows it printed at .1mm on a makerbot replicator 2. PLA is the natural color that came with it, I sprayed it with a developer I use with my scanner so the detail sticks out, it didn't come out very well in clear. The leatherman is in one pic to see the scale.
