Saw this shape on this site: http://bugman123.com/Math/index.html#LoxodromeSconce and recreated it because I like the shadow of it. (Missspelled the filenames; should be 'Loxodrome') I made two others that are slightly different from the first one; the spirals don't change in thickness along the middle. I also included .obj files so you can download the mesh and import it in Blender3D or whatever program supports wavefront object files.In blender 2.6: Loxodrome 2 & 3: I found this second method to be faster and it makes for a better shape.
