Write your name on the INSIDE of the ring. Dual Extrusion supported!Updated to Version 6: There was a bug with the stl for the inscription part of the dual extrusion if one of the text fields is left blank. Should be fixed now, but be aware that if both fields are blank then the inscription stl generation will show an error because there is nothing to generate for dual extrusion in that case.There are a number of different rings available on thingiverse. But I hadn't seen a customizable one more complicated than a simple hoop or allowed you to inscribe a message on the inside like you see on a "real" ring. Perhaps, I just missed it. Regardless, I decided to make my own.You can specify ring size and adjust the thickness of the ring. Choose the height of the ring at the narrow end and then choose the angle of the cut of the ring leading up to the ring face. Choose an angle of zero for a ring of uniform height.There are two ways to inscribe a message. One is on the interior of the ring. Another is to print something on the flat face on the front of the coin. I've given options for the text size. Take care that you don't make the text too big to fit on the ring if you've also chosen to make the ring itself small. If you make a large ring, then the large text size should be able to fill the space.Support for Dual Extrusion is included. You can choose to fill in the text with a second color.I've uploaded an example STL file - you can't forge "The One Ring", but you can create a personalized ring for your kids.
