I got one of these Awesomely designed Dust Commander cyclone separators for a woodworking nut of a friend for Xmas, but I thought it needed something more...
I had a motor and fan from a Ryobi One+ 18v 'dust buster', so I converted it to a press-fit vacuum unit for this cyclone separator.
(I can't remember if this fan was from the blue version or the green version Ryobi - if you're game - try and see!) Warning - this is loud! Hearing protection should be worn.
Also, this has HUGE amounts of suction for what it is!You'll need to print one of part 1, and two of part 2.
Keep the orientation as I have it for best results.
Support is needed for part 2.
4x thin (M3) bolts and 4x approx 3mm diameter plastic screws are needed. Source the plastic screws from any old Nerf gun or toy.
I have included a couple printable base plates as well. I have not tried to make this suck up anything as yet - so use at your own risk... but if it works - please let us know!!!
