A scissor arm that is printed preassembled! A lot of fun to play with.Carefully level your plate to avoid bonding between parts on the first layer. After printing, the joints will likely not move. Apply a gentle force to them - I typically apply a bit of rotation and shear stress to each in turn. At some point, by exerting a gentle pressure on the two extremities, the joints become free and the fun begins! Be careful to apply only gentle stress at first or you may break one of the hinge joint (happened to me a couple time, but I tried to adjust the tolerance to reduce the risk).This is a parametric model created in my own software (soon to be released). I include the script for reference, it should be easy to convert to OpenSCAD if needed. In the meantime I also include the STL for the shown model, as well as the csg file from which it was generated (can be imported in OpenSCAD). I include G-Code for a Replicator 1 (with Sailfish firmware) -- use at your own risk since it will likely not work on a different printer.I printed it in ABS, at 0.2mm layer thickness, 120 mm/s travel and 60 mm/sec print speed. These are the settings used in the provided gcode.Have fun!
