Mount for attaching a phone or tablet to a RigidBot. This allows you to easily use an old phone as a webcam, time lapse recorder etc. Made to allow most size phones, and even tablets - no height or width restriction. Prepared with a lip to allow LED strips (which will also light up the RigidBot Community logo nicely), but will make a good fit otherwise as well. Made with Tinkercad . Can use thicker devices (v1.0=10mm, v1.1=12mm) and has larger slots. Center slot can be used for devices with lens very close to bottom edge, such as upside-down tablets. Also added reinforcements so that the larger slots don't make for a weaker construction.Model is pre-rotated so you can print as is. To attach to printer frame, start from the inner edge (as if phone is laying flat) and push down. Will snap in place and stay there. I printed the mount in the picture with ABS, 25% infill, using brim and support. Feels very solid, but can use even more infill if you have a very heavy tablet. If you have a very slippery device and are worrying about it shaking loose due to vibrations, simply put a rubberband around the lower edge. This will give your device a non-slip "floor". Or just leave some of the brim.
