I recently got Ninjaflex extruding, and created this as a test to see what type of properties it has. Lots of overhanging bits (but you can get away with no support) and small extrusions. No reason you need to use Ninjaflex though, ABSPLA should work just fine. Just not as squishy. I'd had a lot of trouble in the past getting Ninjaflex to properly load into my machine. At that time I was unable to adjust my 'filament load' temperature: I presume it was set around 220 deg. But after upgrading to Sailfish firmware that ability was made available: Filament load @ 240 degrees works a-ok. What did I learn from the print? Need to crank up retraction: Lots of stringing I had to later remove, reminds me of nylon in that regard. Modeled in Maya. Started out as a dodecahedron, became... something else ;)Sliced in Simplify3d & printed on Makerbot Replicator (1) with Sailfish firmware using these settings:
