I recently started knitting and realized quickly that the many needles required for different projects could quickly get out of hand. This is for customizable double point needles (usually for knitting round things). I've flattened the bottom and modeled in thing supports for the tips so it will print without a raft or supports. There is some trouble with 3D printed needle tips and I tried two solutions to deal with the layering and smooth them out. I polished the ends of one needle by dipping them in Acrylic Weld-On #4 (works with PLA and you can use Acetone for ABS) and I took another needle and just put it in the pencil sharpener. If your needle is small enough I preferred the pencil sharpener, but the weld on worked reasonably well too. Thanks for taking a look! Let me know if there's any improvements to be made. Print with no raft or supports. Finish tips of needles by putting them in a pencil sharpener. If they are too large for your pencil sharpener you can dip them in Acrylic Weld-On or Acetone to smooth them out.
