This design is from October 1999. The complete product complied with FCC part 15 rules. The MC2833 is still available (try ebay) and the coils shouldn't be too hard to find. The data sheet provides all the information required (and part numbers) to make a small, single channel FM transmitter operating on one of several bands. I am including the schematic for reference (The product worked on a 72MHz ISM band). The original product was designed using an early version of Protel (Advanced Schematic 1.x and Advanced PCB 2.8 IIRC) and manufactured in New Zealand by me. The product was exported to the USA and sold under the "Califone" brand as an FM cordless Headset (there was a matching receiver) (There are also some audio stages for different versions of the product which i am in the process of digging out). I'm releasing this as the design makes for a quite good "Fox Hunt" Tx and a lot of surplus stock was sold to Radio Hams for that purpose.
