Everyone loves sinc functions, but have you ever just had the hankering to print the 2D polar parameterization of one? Fret no more! This is a rather simple creation of the sombrero function (besinc or jinc function) created with the Cartesian representation z(x,y) = [sin(sqrt(x^2+y^2))]/sqrt(x^2+y^2) (albeit slightly permuted) in OpenSCAD. Easily customizable to include names on the sides or a stamp on the bottom for that lucky math teacher or connoisseur of esoteric mathematics. Special thanks to Torsten Paul for his help creating this OpenSCAD model; without him, it would look .... well awful.
