My work light clamp broke and i made the, http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:27253, lamp base.
Then the foot part of the clamp broke.......
I did a quick design and it worked very well, however i used a steel insert that i had access to in the design of my original part.
I made a second part that is without that insert, and just has a hole.
The part also has a small screw hole, for a more permanent mounting. I printed mine in ABS, 4 perimeters, .25 infill. The A1 object has the inset for my part ( which you don't have )
The A2 object has a straight hole for the rod. I also used a bit of 220 grit sandpaper, glued to the surface in contact with the desk edge. This gives very good traction to keep the mount from "moving around" RTV Silicone was used to stick the sandpaper down. ( i also did this with the upper part of the lamp base ).
