These are some extra parts i made for my 3D printed bike. Thanks to: Functional Bicycle by thomasgivan, published Apr 24, 2014 thing:309158 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:309158Thankyou for an exceptional job on the bike. Love mine. Thought i'd add my additions for others to enjoy. The basket is printed flat and will need to be bent backwards and supper glued. The printed bottom is the inside of basket. The basket brackets are just hooks to glue to the basket. Print 2 of them. The kickstand is also in 2 parts, Use a small piece of 3mm plastic to glue up. May latter put up a diagram of glueing it. Not hard just heat with a match fine flame the end of the raw piece of plastic to make a small ball on the end. Now push thru the long piece hole so it will stop at the blob end of the plastic. Push the other end into the bracket part and clip the excess plastic off leaving maybe less that 1/8th inch extending into the round part of the bracket. Now do the same on that end with a fine flame, yet this time you want it to stick to your part. So heat, blob, and know push it smooth with your finger to make nice and round again. No bumps so it will glue nice to the bike frame. Done well it will have just the right resistance on the kickstand so it holds up when kicked up. :) You may need to run a 1/8th inch drill bit thru the holes for the raw plastic to go in. The name plate is just a small flat piece printed. You may just want to use scissors and cut you a small piece of card board. What ever. Thats it now you have a basket, kickstand and name plate for your personal 3D printed bike. Hope you enjoy, Happy 3D printing, Rick. Just a NOTE: On the basket, you may want to wad up a napkin of some paper to stuff in the basket and then use a rubber band to hold in place while gluing. And also, on the kickstand, just remember to leave room for the pedals to rotate. Do not glue it too close to the pedals on the frame. Just thought i'd add this for for-thought before you make the mistake i nearly made myself on the kickstand. Happy Printing, Rick.
