Fully customizable pseudo 7-segment display. You can specify the orientation, number of digits, size, and angle of the display. I printed the segments in dark-blue and "glow-in-the-dark" light blue for use as house numbers. The provided stl files are for 2-digit 90mm tall panels; but you should generate your own from the openscad files. This thing can be used as-is as a sign or incorporated into other designs. I tried to thoroughly comment the scad files, so you shouldn't have too much trouble customizing them. Generate your custom plate from 7segmentPlate.scad first. Watch the output, it will tell you what size to use for the segments. Using that value, generate the segment stl(s) with 7segment.scad. You will likely have to adjust the size a little bit for your particular printer. If you are producing angled digits, you will need as many as four types of segments, two types of "unlit" segments and two types of "illuminated" segments. The vertical segments use the value you specified for the plate. The horizontal segments always use an angle of 0. If your digits are not angled (0 degrees), the horizontal and vertical segments are the same. Further customizations are possible, You can also change the thickness, border around the digits, and space between the segments. It is not difficult to alter the scad file so no openings are generated in the plate for the segments that are to remain "unlit" if you prefer that look.
