This thing inspired by 120mm Fan grill - RepRap style by capitaenz. I made it a symmetric and customizable. All .stl examples are for 120 mm fan.To avoid unwanted gaps inside grill rings and rods I use 2.13 mm wide for it and the following parameters for Slic3r: (You can see result on the 2-nd photo)
