-More DailyEarrings & prologue @ thingiverse.com/thing:7120This morning I saw http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7233 (inspired by http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4414) and within an hour (while watching TV) I made this small combination lock as AE's daily earring number sixtey (yey!).This simplified little combination lock is just a bit taller then one centimeter and could probably be made even smaller. It actually worked on the first print, just had to reprint for some cosmetics reasonst and longer lock bars to lessen the play.This one opens with A / E and has a few letters on each ring.Excuse the bad pictures, I had to use the flash and then harsh gamma correction so the details show- resulting in an odd look.IMPORTAINT! Printed on a pp3dp up + on 0.2mm/fine; You will need angled tweezers to clean out some of the support, but it was easier then I thought.The bars on the innter tubus are just a bit too long, you may want to sand them, clip them, cut them etc. CHANGES: On the new version I alreaddy made them 0.3mm shorter- but not thiner. Made the top disc flat for easier holding while turning, but the faces are not closed properly.Designed for a pp3dp UP+, perhaps you will need to enlarge it and resize the gaps/play; Source files included.Possible fixing issues/changes:-Fix some minor offset and loose issues/play -Inner gaps not neccesary -A front marker to indicate where you have to turn the letters to. -A bit bigger hole to store secret messages in the tube -inner tubus lock-bars are a tad too long (can be sanded/cut, but on the new version I alreaddy made them 0.3mm shorter- but not thiner) -Also helps to make them a little thinner -The inner "rails" are unneccesary, but won't hurt anything. -The gap/rail in the rings need to be scraped thinner a bit where they end in the opening to ensure it turns wellThis version works, but needs some work to move freely. Feel free to change the files.
