RGB LED star with 6 individually controllable LEDs per star. (just running the default example-code, included in the adafruit neopixel library) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Yzz428QVe8 I already started with my Christmas lighting project for this year :-) (Some people will say it's way to early, but I still need to print about 500 of these RGB LED stars, besides a few thousand smaller ones !) I use "transparent" filament (PLA), for optimized LED performance :-) This RGB LED star can be fitted with a piece of LED strip. (I use 5050 RGB addressable LED strip, 30 LEDs per meter, WS2812 controlled) So, each "tip" of the star, can be set to another color, and the middle of the star also does have it's own LED) in one of the star tips, there are 2 small holes, so you can put a wire trough it, to put the stars up. Beneath the "middle" part with the middle LED, there is a hole, to fit the 2 four-wire cables. (one cable from main controller or previous star, and one cable to the next star) Stars are approx. 18 cm in diameter, so do fit nicely on a 20 cm printbed. Stars are 16 mm in thickness. (2 mm bottom, 12 mm for the LED strip, and 2 mm for the top) Eeh voila :-) Connect to Arduino or other MCU of your choice, and let the colors run :-)
