I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY IF YOU DESTROY THINGS TRYING TO INSTALL MY DESIGN You will Need Roughly 80mm long piece 2mm ID x 4mm OD PTFE Teflon Tube 2x M3x12mm fixings. 4.0mm drill bit. 7mm drill bit. 3mm Drill bit. Cable ties The Adapter holes will need a little drilling to make them a perfect fit. The optical filament will need to be relocated to allow room for this Mod. I jammed a piece of filament with a few layers of kapton tape on it in the sensor to trick it. Doing this will allow you to print with transparent filaments as well, so cup a tea happy days. The Adapter attaches to the plate with the stainless steal cone shaped pipe. The holes are already tapped to a 3mm thread. Obviously XYZ were planning something here. You will have to use M3x12mm fasteners. If larger ones are used the end of the fasteners will foul on the top of the feeder plate where it attaches. The stainless cone piece with need to be drilled out to 4.5mm to allow the bowden tube to be passed through it. Remember boys and girls when drilling stainless go slow, with a bit of pressure and plenty of Lube Wink Wink. The end of the cone will come off when drilled, Don't worry it is supposed to do that. Depending on cooling fan shroud you use, it may foul of the carriage and need modding. The fan shroud will have to be put back after the extruder is re-fitted if you apply extra heat sinks to the aluminum heat break. I attached the heat sinks to the heartbreak with adhesive thermal compound. Next I am thinking of putting bowden down into the threaded stainless steal exctruder pipe for even smoother feeding
